Sr Proposal Writer

HYBRID (2-3 DAYS A WEEK ON SITE)---An industry veteran with over 10 years of experience directly supporting proposal responses-they need to have been working directly on proposals. If they have other responsibilities that's fine, but I don't want someone that was BD and did two proposals a year or something like that. Consistent participation in proposal responses over a long period of time is a must. ----Ability and willingness to work on all sections of a response, from resumes, to past performance, to technical and program management volumes.---Ability to sit down with key personnel and subject matter experts and extract usable narrative data from them for use in RFx responses---Ability to read a solicitation/SOW and understand the requirements and be able to help craft a response specific to the response needs-basically, someone that has read a bunch of these things and knows what to expect after doing so. I don't need someone that will necessarily design our response strategy (though that would be awesome) but someone that knows how to read these documents---Ability to integrate win themes, value adds, and narrative themes within technical write ups---Ability to edit and standardize existing narrative; for example, ensure that a volume uses one voice, or to ensure that volumes represent things like dates consistently---Someone that works well with a team and can handle a high volume, high visibility environment---Someone that is comfortable interacting with company leadership-the proposal team is a highly visible organization within MSS---Someone that is able to come into the Reston office at least twice a week, preferably more. ----Someone familiar with SharePoint and has a high level of proficiency with MS Office products---Someone familiar with the standard Shipley proposal process-the pink-red-gold proposal flow. They don't have to be Shipley certified or APMP or anything, but I need someone that has been through a normal proposal process before and understands the different color review phases.
