Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. An opportunity is available for a Middle School Special
Education Teacher to support an emotional support classroom serving
7th and 8th graders. This position is located in Columbia, PA,
within a K-12 school setting and is a contract role for the current
school year. The teacher will work Monday through Friday from 7:30
a.m. to 3:10 p.m., managing a caseload of 13 students. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction tailored to
meet the individual needs of students with emotional support
requirements. - Develop and implement Individualized Education
Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. -
Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to improve
educational outcomes. - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom
environment that encourages social and emotional growth. -
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration to
support student development. Qualifications: - Valid Pennsylvania
special education teaching certification. - Experience working with
middle school-aged students in an emotional support classroom
setting preferred. - Strong understanding of applicable special
education laws and best practices. - Ability to manage multiple
students with diverse needs effectively. - Excellent communication
