Leidos is looking to grow our proposal team and add successful Principal Proposal Managers with experience with large Federal proposals. Primary Responsibilities Lead the proposal development process from pre-proposal phase through post-proposal submittal phases. Establish compliant structure for solicitations. Oversee schedules, outlines, proposal kickoffs, and solutioning sessions. Interpret technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations (e.g., RFPs, RTEPs, TORs, RFIs) Collaborate with executives, management teams, functional units, BD personnel, partners, and subject matter experts to provide proposal leadership, support, and overall direction Maintain tight, proactive communication with proposal and business unit leadership to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available to achieve a successful proposal submission Manage multiple proposal tasks with rapid turnaround deadlines Ensure win strategy, compliance, and customer understanding are in the final proposal documents. Facilitate proposal reviews and make recommendations to ensure compliance and increase proposal scorability. Collaborate with all levels of the organization and with the proposal team. Flexibility to work occasional proposals onsite in Reston, Virginia. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with at three (3) years of related Federal proposal experience. Experience leading proposals valued at more than $50 million for a single award. Comprehension of, and experience with, the Federal procurement process and regulations (e.g., FAR). Evidence of a successful track record of high quality, high scoring proposals. Ability to develop and/or assist technical and capture personnel in developing compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging. Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices. Ability to manage geographically disparate teams. Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint. Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive within a dynamic environment operating with high-pressure deadlines Due to nature of the role, U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with video, live orals, and/or demonstration proposals. Active security clearance. AI tools such as ChatGPT and Awarded AI Experience supporting a wide variety of solicitation size, complexity, and submission window. Formal proposal training and/or certifications (e.g., Shipley, APMP) FEDSIM proposal experience. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
