Job Description:

Now Hiring a DevOps Automation Automation Engineer As a DevOps Automation Automation Engineer you will collaborate with our client and contribute as a technical leader to design and implement a DevOps environment utilizing the latest technologies and concepts that will enable a fast and efficient development process. You will design and build an Azure DevOps Repository, a Branching strategy, and Build and Release pipelines for an enterprise-scale, modern data warehouse solution that leverages Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation. Do something big! Join our team as we help a global client re-imagine how they engage with their customers, operate, and rebuild their business model in greenfield cloud-native services and processes. This is a remote position.

  • Ability to design and build an Azure DevOps Repository, a Branching strategy, and Build and Release pipelines for an enterprise-scale, modern data warehouse solution that is used by many teams (7 and counting).
  • Ability to be a technical point of contact during coordinated releases to various environments that support many development and infrastructure teams and a large end user community (1000+ users).
  • Gather technical requirements and execute on deliverables
  • Scale infrastructure and/or applications in an automated way
  • Treat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on how to continually improve automation services and resiliency of the platform
  • Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications anddatabases actions
  • Provide tooling for all of engineering
  • Follow and execute Production, Non-Production, and other environmental changecontrol processes
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within thescope of the duties listed above
  • Document DevOps processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and over five years of IT/DevOpsengineering experience and a minimum of three years of experience workingin Windows or Linux server administration with RedHat, Centos or similartoolsets
  • Strong experience with and passion for applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts
  • Hands on experience building and designing in Azure DevOps based Source Repositories, Build and Release pipelines
  • Previous scripting experience in PowerShell and T-SQL
  • Understanding of Azure platform constructs such as Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure DevOps, and Azure DevOps Build Agents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure to deploy highly-available, scalable, andsecure applicationsProfile of Success

    • Strong experience applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts; CI experience inmultiple tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Visual Studio Team Services, etc.)
    • Previous scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, T-SQL or similar scriptinglanguage
    • Knowledge of automated testing (Selenium, Visual Studio, etc.)
    • Experience with a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Puppet, orChef
    • Understanding of Azure including Azure SQL, Azure Networking, AzureActive Directory
    • Experience in SQL Server administration & troubleshooting, and web serveradministration using IIS and/or Apache
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure to deploy highly-available, scalable, andsecure applications
    • Knowledge of Monitoring tools (Application Insights, New Relic, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)Desirable Skills
      • Experience in Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, git
      • Knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)
      • Desire to gain or use technical certifications as part of continuous professional growth
      • Ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and changes in the environment
