SAIC is currently looking to hire a Network Security Engineer to
join the RITS program in a remote/telework capacity!
The Network Security Engineer Lead will be an integral member of
the program and coordinating security engineering for the network
team. The successful candidate will have a blended set of skills
and experience in operations to include implementing new security
technology, reviewing new solutions, planning, audits, knowledge of
DoD security implementations, and other network security
vulnerability remediation. Recent experience translating business
objectives and requirements into deployable Zero Trust, modern
authentication, and hybrid cloud solutions in an Agile/DevOps
organization is ideal.
Duties and Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
Documenting new solutions on security aspects
Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for
the protection of the USACE network systems.
Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the
overall security of network devices and security solutions.
Creating different ways to solve the existing threats and security
issues to the network.
Testing and checking the system for weaknesses in software and
Configuring and installing security infrastructure devices.
Determining latest technologies and processes that improve the
overall security of the network.
Developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), waiver,
and accreditation packages to note network security
Supervising the configuration and installation of new software and
Implementing regulatory systems in accordance with Cybersecurity
Modifying the technical, legal, and regulatory aspects of the
Occasionally replacing the security system protocol and
Leading and supervising a team of 10 or less employees
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience managing technical
teams in an operational environment; Masters and seven (7) years or
more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more
CLEARANCE: Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance to start
with the ability to obtain a full clearance; US Citizenship
CERTIFICATIONS: - DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level III (e.g. CISSP); CCNP
Security equivalent or higher
