Government Scientific Source (GSS), is seeking a
highly-motivated Service Desk Engineer to join our team.
Summary:Government Scientific Source Inc., (GSS), is a leading
supplier of analytical chemistry equipment and consumables to
federal, state, and municipal government laboratories. The Service
Desk Engineer provides IT support systemwide including
installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of computers,
application software, network devices, and peripherals. This
position answers support calls and emails, and responds to
break/fix trouble tickets.

Provide basic technical support to Internal users.
Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received in person,
telephone calls, email, ticketing system, all in a timely manner,
in accordance with organizational standards.
Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of PC support issues
including but not limited to hardware failures, operating system
errors, software compatibility issues, and network connectivity and
follow up to ensure the problem has been resolved.
Help to maintain and organize all IT assets. Makes sure assets are
properly tagged, recorded, and accounted for. Assists in the
removal of all retired assets scheduled to be decommissioned.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma.
1 year of experience in IT help-desk environment preferred.
Experience in Windows environment.
