Technical Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will be responsible for actively driving and managing all technical aspects of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Software AG and StreamSets products. Responsibilities:Drive progress towards successful sales, working alongside Account ExecutivesOwn the technical sales process from introductory meetings and demos to proofs of concepts to implementations and customer successDesign solutions and architectures using combinations of StreamSets and Software AG products and technologies to solve customer requirements.Build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customer's technical staffArticulate product positioning and competitive differentiation to both business and technical users ranging from individual contributes to VPs to C-level executivesWork with customers, partners, and engineers to craft and propose solutionsAble to convey customer requirements to Product Management teamsAble to travel throughout sales territory. Skills:Able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical usersAble to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales processAble to get into the weeds and build credibility in front of rooms of data engineersOrganized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches Experience5+ years proven track record in software consulting or pre-salesStrong presentation skills with the ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reportsStrong Linux experience as well as programming with Java, Perl, Python, and Unix Shell scriptsData industry experience, with a focus on ETL, analytics applications, and big dataExperience with big data and/or cloud technologies (Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks)Experience with WebMethods is desirable Culture We have an open-minded culture and many exciting projects where you have the freedom to "be your best you".
