Overview ProSphere is seeking an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Junior who possesses a basic understanding of setup, operations and support of AWS services running primarily on Centos Linux. The ideal candidate should have experience operating multi-account AWS environments, interacting effectively with customers and development teams, understanding how to translate requirements into infrastructure. Heshe will be part of the operations team supporting development, testing, QA and production environments. AWS and Linux skills are required. DevOps skills around CICD as well as experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Cloud Formation are preferred. Must be able to work in AWS under direction of senior team members in a timely fashion. Python scripting is also preferred. This position will be based in Reston, VA, but may require visits to client site in Washington, DC. Position may be worked remotely in the United States. Responsibilities Assist with the build out of a multi-account, multi-region, highly available and highly automated AWS environment to support full software development life cycle and production of mission-critical applications Assist with day to day support and oversight of operational environments for our customer. Work closely with operations and development personnel to provision, support and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure. Assist with maintenance of a highly available production infrastructure. Assist with application support for product customers. Assist with the automation of currently manual processes around infrastructure support, testing and product deployment. Understand and contribute to the creation of system support documents, operational run books, and build scriptsCloud Formation templates for AWS environment configuration. Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines Learn on the job and explore new technologies with moderate supervision and oversight Qualifications Mid-level troubleshooting experience and a passion for providing excellent service to all internal and external customers 3-5 years of experience with Linux systems administration with a focus on deploymentconfiguration automation 1-3 years working with AWS, understanding of AWS concepts, and working knowledge of the AWS APIscommand line tools AWS Solutions Architect (Associate) or AWS Sysops Administrator (Associate) Certification, preferred Foundational AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, EBS, ELBs, VPCs, Security Groups, etc.) Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar technology AWS Cloud Formation Jenkins Scripting language (Python, NodeJS, etc.).
