Join our team and thrive in a career that matters to the world and you personally.SummaryThe Office Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Mission Integration Directorate (DMI) is looking for a motivated, agile candidate to serve as the Aerospace Systems Director for the National Intelligence Division, ODNI in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This person serves an exciting role in managing Aerospace technical support to senior intelligence officers in charge of overseeing 16 intelligence agencies. You will be responsible for assigning resources, determining staffing needs, and coordinating activities within the ODNI, National Intelligence Management Council, National Intelligence Manager - Space (NIM-S), Space Threat Assessment Cell (STAC) organization. STAC is a community resources applying foundational intelligence, technical expertise and collaborative partnerships to frame the future space environment. You will communicate and coordinate activities with counterpart organizations, management, and customers.Key Functions

• Lead Aerospace support to customers by operating beyond the intelligence record to project future counterspace threats, scenarios, and concepts in order to inform U.S. space protection decisions.
• Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing technical staff.
• Liaison with senior customers, staff, Aerospace management and Engineering Technology Group (ETG) to identify and fulfill customer needs, consistent with the Aerospace FFRDC role.
• Serve as the primary interface for the Aerospace ODNI/NIM-S/STAC support team with the customer and with Aerospace support to other parts of ODNI.
• Identify and follow through on opportunities to inject Aerospace innovation and technology in support of customer needs.
• Manage organizational resources in a manner that meets customer needs, complies with customer and Aerospace polices and fulfills the requirements of the relevant Aerospace contracts.
• Collaborate across Aerospace to coordinate with related efforts at mission partner organizations.
• Conduct annual performance reviews.Required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or mathematics from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible engineering/scientific experience.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of contractors, customers, and corporate staff.
  • Demonstrated agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced customer environment with a high degree of uncertainty.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, organization and planning skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the Aerospace role and the guidelines for appropriate use of an FFRDC.
  • Experience in multiple engineering and science disciplines, such as research and development, space and ground systems acquisition, systems engineering and systems integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong teams to meet customer needs.
  • This position requires the ability to have and maintain a current and active TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.Preferred
    • Advanced degree in engineering, science or mathematics from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible engineering/scientific experience
    • Experience working direct support in a government program office.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Aerospace reach-back capabilities to meet customer needs.
    • At least 5 years management experience and/or team leadership experience.
