grade:Grade 12 Context: The Program Manager leads/manages all
aspects of complex satellite communications (SATCOM) services for
US Government customers. The Program Manager orchestrates the
design, implementation, transition, operation, and maintenance of
complete end-to-end SATCOM networks for US Government customers and
supports related business development efforts.
Experience/Qualifications: Current Project Management Professional
(PMP) certification or Defense Acquisition University (DAU)
equivalentBachelor's Degree in Technical Management or relevant
field, or 10-12 years program/project management experience in
government contracting operationsITIL certification and service
management experience preferred10 years experience in the US
Government or commercial SATCOM industryExtensive
knowledge/critical understanding of DoD SATCOM program
demandsExtensive experience managing profit and loss (P&L) on
US Government contractsDisplays exceptional communication skills
and has experience effectively working with US Government
customers.Experience in the design, implementation/delivery and
maintenance of global, enterprise, end-to-end SATCOM managed
service solutions including: space segment, ground segment,
operational services, information assurance and all program related
tasksIn-depth understanding of internal matrixed work processes;
must be able to work with other departments within SES GS and the
broader SES staffResults orientation with a drive and passion to
make stretch commitments and demonstrated ability to deliver
outstanding workAble to work independently; must possess
multi-tasking skillsSelf-motivated ability to deliver in a fast
paced environment with emphasis on follow-through responsibilities
based on task priorities Business development experience including

He/she will employ the utilization of SES GS project management
standards across the full scope of customer requirementsManages
cost, schedule, performance, risk and stakeholder expectations on
assigned programsManages program P&L and identifies new sales
opportunitiesProvides expert leadership to project teams, as
appropriate, through facilitation, information sharing, analysis
and reviewsLeads all aspects of program implementation from
planning to operations and maintenance for the full program life
cycleDevelops and executes comprehensive Program Management plans
that provide the roadmap to meeting customer program requirements
on time and within budgetActs as primary customer interface within
customer programs; coordinates periodic meetings, provides required
status reports and ensures customer issues are addressed/resolved
in a timely fashion and within contract parametersWorks closely
with assigned government agencies, vendors and internal staff to
oversee and coordinate all functions related to client
programsInterfaces with key vendors in coordination with company
procurement/contracts to ensure requirements are delivered on time
and within budgetInterfaces with company senior management
pertaining to assigned programs to report program (technical and
financial) performanceProvides expert services/guidance through
facilitation, analysis and program reviewsInstitutes industry
project management principles in accordance with corporate
policiesPromotes utilization of project management standards across
programs to include communications, quality and risk assessment
strategiesDevelops/improves program management procedures with
customer programsThru exceptional customer relations, promotes
business development and identifies opportunities within customer
programs; works with the program team to propose solutions to grow
the business on existing and new contractsIn concert with Sales and
Business Development team members, may lead or support any aspect
of the business development cycle for assigned programs SES GS and
