Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and team guidance on developing and maintaining plans for the creation or maintenance of a product, and contribute your technical expertise in production and decision-making. In this role, you will implement timelines, milestones, and allocation of resources, as well as manage the technical requirements needed to implement a product.

Responsibilities
The Finance Technology - Technical Project Management - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities

  • Lead the development of goals, guidelines, action steps, and timelines to ensure projects meet technical requirements.
  • Contribute your advanced technical expertise to the project.
  • Monitor and report on progress towards the projects timelines and goals.
  • Refine goal, guidelines, action steps, and timelines for projects as needed.
  • Ensure projects meet the technical requirements for full completion.
    Job Duties
    Qualifications
    • TPM will help drive strategic initiatives, align teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver on multiple complex technology projects
    • The TPM will lead cross functional and technical teams to drive projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
    • Experience with cross-organizational communication to both technical- and non-technical audiences from engineers to upper management
    • Candidate must be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues and remove barriers to project success.
    • Being able to establish trust with a variety of stakeholders and customers across Fannie Mae, eliminate non-value-add activity, and find creative ways to optimize delivery.
    • Thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities are a must.
    • Lead discussions across cross-functional teams
    • Lead implementation process and ultimate deployment of Strategic initiatives and other programs
    • Manage program budget, human capital planning and can drive operational insights
    • Manage through Agile/SAFE methodologies
      Soft-skills
      • Develop and build trust relationships across teams
      • Facilitate cross-collaboration and understanding between IT and other departments
      • Generate reports and insights for different internal and/or external audiences
      • Stay current on the latest news, information, and trends about program management and the organization's industry
        Required Qualifications
        • 7+ years of experience in project management of technical initiatives.
        • 5+ years of strategic program management experience desired.
        • 7+ years of experience with software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
        • Strong judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority.
        • Able to distill data and articulate rationale for making difficult trade-offs and prioritizations
