Make your mark on the history of space exploration! We are seeking someone to establish a team that will stand up a service desk in support of our Analytics Platform that is a mixture of custom and COTS solutions. As the leader of this new team, you will develop services offerings focused on providing the best experience for our internal customers. Owning the intake and triage of bugs and feature requests for analytics, platform and data engineering teams is also in scope for this role. We're looking for teammates who will be committed and passionate about working with other technology professionals to develop a new services framework in support of Analytics across the company.Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail driven and have excellent problem-solving abilities. Experience with Cloud Analytics Platforms and ELT is a must. You should be passionate about delivering a positive experience for internal customers and quickly working towards quality solutions while contributing to team development through continuous process improvement, and mentorship. The ability to do excellent process and procedure development from green-field is a must-have.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a new team of analysts and service desk specialists
  • Plan, coordinate and lead all aspects for support of internally developed and COTS data and analytics tools and implementations
  • Work with platform and solution teams to ensure support information is accurate, clear, and concise
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of Tier 0 / Tier 1 support documentation and hypercare for data and analytics implementation projects
  • Develop and execute runbooks and processes crafted to cover the majority of issues without the need to advance to delivery teams
  • Prepare process documentation and business plans as needed
  • Work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team to ensure the delivery of efficient resolutions for active issues
  • Be a technology thought leader from the perspective of Service Desk team as new tools or processes are proposed and provide input on impact to support teamQualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other quantitative field or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
    • At least 2 years of experience leading team(s) responsible for product management, program management or client management
    • Strong customer-centric drive and vision
    • Ability to balance contending priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience working with Data Engineering and Analytics teams COTS software implementations
    • Outstanding customer relationship skills including the ability to translate business and technical requirements, recommend alternative technical and business approaches and deliver against aggressive timelines
    • Experience using SQL and Jira Query Language (JQL) to gather and analyze data
    • Experience researching and solutioning issues on AWS data systems built on tools like Postgress, Redshift, and Kubernetes along with analytics tools like ReDash and Tableau
    • Experience operating in a high volume request environment and prioritizing competing asks from diverse customers
    • Experience with continuous improvement methods
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfortable with Scrum and Agile Methodologies
