Lunar Science Payload Integration Manager

Job Description:

As a member of our Lunar Permanence team, you will manage the integration of a wide variety of payloads with Blue Origin lunar lander missions. Your responsibilities will extend from early payload assessments through interface definition, integration, test, calibration, and successful launch, landing, and surface operations. Both payload providers and mission engineers will look to you to assure that all aspects of the payload-mission interface are managed smoothly.You'll also support the Blue Origin lunar capture team with new business proposals throughout the lifetime of the pursuit process. You will work closely with all elements of the Lunar Permanence team and will also work closely with New Glenn and other business units across the company.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to understand payload requirements and ensure strong, continued communications throughout the lifecycle of the mission.
  • Serve as the payload provider interface at meetings, tests, and reviews to define interfaces, develop operations plans, and assess payload readiness.
  • Ensure contract deliverables are completed on time and meet customer expectations.
  • Support all phases of lunar science capture and pursuit efforts alongside strategy and business development teams.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and events to develop a strong understanding of customer landscape and needs.
  • Support Payload User's Guides development, management, and distribution.REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
    • 5+ years of experience working with both space scientists and aerospace engineers.
    • Highly detail oriented, hardworking, and professional with exceptional written and verbal technical communication skills.
    • U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information.DESIRED:
      • Masters or Ph.D. in a relevant science or engineering discipline strongly preferred.
      • Existing relationships across the lunar science community, both domestic and international.
      • Proven experience working across teams on complex space missions.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
        • Willingness to travel up to 50%The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.Estimated salary wage (Colorado only):$130K-$217KDon't meet every single requirement?
