of delivering results?What you'll be doing:
- Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders
(engineering, operations, finance) to understand capital project
requirements and timelines. Lead the procurement process for major
capital projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with
project specifications including logistics, imports, and customs
clearance. Manage procurement activities within budget constraints
and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Contract Management: Draft and negotiate comprehensive
contracts with suppliers, ensuring clear terms and conditions
regarding price, delivery schedule, warranty, and quality
standards. Monitor contract compliance and address any contractual
issues that arise.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
for capital goods based on technical specifications, quality
standards, price competitiveness, and delivery capabilities.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for capital goods,
including market research, vendor selection, and competitive
bidding processes. Conduct cost analysis and negotiate favorable
pricing and contract terms with suppliers.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong
relationships with key capital goods suppliers, including regular
performance reviews and feedback loops. Collaborate with suppliers
on value engineering initiatives to optimize product design and
cost. Manage supplier risk mitigation strategies, including
contingency plans for potential disruptions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track key procurement metrics
related to capital goods spending, supplier performance, and cost
savings. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
in the procurement process. Prepare regular reports for senior
management on procurement activities and performance.What we'd love

the following areas - this is an added advantage:
- Bachelor of Engineering from a reputed college (preferably
electrical, mechanical or civil) - Must
- Post Graduation Diploma/Degree in management or supply
chain
- Strong understanding of capital goods, including technical
specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing processes
relevant to the company's operations
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation,
and supplier management
- Ability to manage complex capital projects from initiation to
completion, including timelines and budgets.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals, cost
breakdowns, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong
relationships with suppliers.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on
capital goods sourcing and management within a manufacturing or
industrial setting.
- Experience with complex procurement processes, including RFQs,
tenders, and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.We'll
