COMPANY is seeking a creative and innovative Vice President of Benefits to lead strategic development of the benefits plans that will support our employee needs today, tomorrow, and in the future. You will report to the SVP of Total Rewards and have ultimate responsibility for planning, strategy development, and overall management of benefit programs.
What You’ll Get to Do: Partner with an exceptional team of HR professionals in order to… Support COMPANY’s continued growth and provide benefits that are competitive and relevant for our employees. Mentor and grow your people. Pay them fairly, give them feedback, provide flexibility, and set high expectations. Conduct due diligence evaluations for potential acquisition targets. Make recommendations regarding risk or impacts to valuation. Develop executive-level presentations and present benefits-related material to all levels of the organization. Make sure that open enrollment works! You will… Provide concise briefings to the executives with well thought out recommendations. Give them plenty of time to review changes and make decisions. Work with vendors to achieve the best financial outcome on renewals. Communicate with the employees and make it a great experience for them. Ensure we are legal and compliant: File all required government-mandated filings by the deadline Ensure all disclosures are completed, company-sponsored plans meet all legal requirements and that we are complying with the Service Contract Act (SCA) Administer our Individual Benefit Accounts (IBA) Manage vendor relationships to ensure we are receiving value. Manage retirement programs including the COMPANY 401(k) plan and other retirement plans aligned with our Qualified Separate Lines of Business (QSLOB). Coordinate and lead quarterly 401(k) investment committee meetings. You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field 12+ years of progressive HR experience 8+ years of experience in employee benefit strategy, design, and execution. 5+ years of supervisory experience Demonstrated expertise in applicable legal and regulatory areas (e.g., ACA, ERISA, USERRA, IRS, SCA, etc.) Experience with retirement plan administration These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have: Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field Benefits-related professional certifications/designations
