Responsibilities:


  • Oversee day-to-day functions of the Billing team, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed, not limited to but including:


    • Perform credit card invoice collections in assigned markets
    • Produce customer invoices for accommodations and optional amenities.
    • Complete invoice adjustments approved by Management
    • Perform audit on reservation details using automated audit tools, communicate variances with market management
    • Prepare month-end billing reconciliation, research and provide explanation for variances, making suggestions for journal entry when needed
    • Assess and bill out applicable energy overages or additional cable items for reservations
    • Produce consolidated and/or special billing to key clients as assigned
    • Research client inquiries and see issues through to successful resolution
    • Schedule and perform regular internal audits on billing processes, research findings, provide coaching and feedback as needed
    • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies, implement improvements and ensure standard operating procedures are updated as needed
    • Process requests from client representatives to extend credit to new clients
    • Obtain necessary paperwork to run a thorough credit check using Dun and Bradstreet tools
    • Analyze D&B report to discern credit worthiness utilizing company provided criteria and industry standards
    • Submits for approval or denies credit to client and conveys that decision to the representative


      Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
      • 3 years of accounting and finance experience in a small to midsize organization required, experience with global organization preferred.
      • Experience in the hospitality, hotel, apartment, property management, or corporate housing industry a plus.
      • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage work flows
      • Strong planning and organization with ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction
      • Exceptional attention to detail


        • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to train and motivate direct reports


          • Comfortable working in a high-charged, fast-paced environment
          • Flexibility to adapt to competing priorities and work volume


            • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of organization and external clients


              • Solid knowledge of paper and e-billing procedures
              • Proven ability to learn complex software applications, previous experience with OSCAR Enterprise Property Management a plus
              • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
              • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
              • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
              • Strong analytical and accounting skills


                • Proven track record for identifying process efficiencies and solving problems
