The position requires a focus on triage during evening and night shifts. The schedule typically includes three 12-hour shifts per week. Nurses will handle a variety of emergency cases. The typical patient population includes conditions such as CHF, COPD, DM, and behavioral health cases. The unit sees approximately 60 patients per day. Travelers are expected to manage respiratory support including ventilators and high flow oxygen. The emergency room is equipped with cardiac monitors, and nurses are responsible for monitoring dysrhythmias. A pharmacist is available for consultation after hours. It is important for candidates to provide their own navy blue scrubs. Hair color must be natural, and excessive tattoos should be covered. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the rotation. This position does not allow for shift rotation between days and nights. Candidates should be prepared for an initial orientation that includes equipment training.
