Pay Information $2,183 per week About The Position Job Title: Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: - Experience with trach and ventilator management required - Pediatric experience acceptable with necessary skills - Experience with rehabilitation patients required Description: Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse needed for a mixed unit focusing on rehabilitation. The role involves caring for a variety of pediatric patients, including those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, burns, feeding disorders, and cases of failure to thrive. You will be responsible for post-orthopedic surgical patients requiring extensive speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Patients may also include those with spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and respiratory or cardiac issues. The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:4. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required as scheduled. Floating to other areas within the specialty may be required as needed. Candidates must possess strong pediatric skills and be comfortable working in a team environment.
