to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in York, Pennsylvania, 17403! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Current RN
License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, ENLS Must-Have:
Strong experience in EVD, ICP, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid,
embolization Description: Must have a Neuroscience ICU background.
Experience with external ventricular drain (EVD) management is
essential. Knowledge in intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring is
required. Candidates should have experience in post-angiogram care.
Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is
necessary. Ability to care for patients following carotid
interventions and embolizations is essential. Candidates should be
flexible with shift rotations between days and nights. One hardship
shift may be required depending on the assignment timeframe.
Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit. If clinically
approved and adherent to guidelines, candidates will be sent to the
manager for the final decision. Manager will conduct interviews as
part of the selection process. Candidates may be required to float
to other ICUs if needed. COVID patients may be part of the care
provided. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. Additional
skills required include arterial line management and ventilator
management. The unit primarily cares for adult patients with
neurological conditions. Additional responsibilities may include
hemodynamic monitoring and management of multi-system organ
dysfunction. Demonstrated knowledge in interpreting arterial blood
gases is required. Care for post-operative neurosurgery patients is
expected. Candidates should be adept at infection prevention and
management of surgical wounds. Knowledge of stroke management
protocols is a must. Familiarity with charting in Epic is heavily
