medical-surgical units - IV skills Description: This position is
for a Registered Nurse specializing in medicine. The contract
duration is 13 weeks. Shifts will be during the day, consisting of
12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The work schedule includes
every other weekend and holidays as needed. The patient population
includes individuals with cardiovascular, pulmonary,
gastrointestinal, and substance abuse issues, as well as medical
diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders. The unit has a
total of 38 beds. The RN to patient ratio is 1:5 during day shifts
and 1:6 during night shifts. Patient Care Technician to patient
ratio is 1:10. Candidates must have experience in telemetry and
medical-surgical settings, along with strong IV skills.
