Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - Ability to pass Hospital Telemetry Test Description: The unit has 10 beds with a patient ratio of 5:1. Staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 Patient Care Technician. This unit specializes in general medical/surgical telemetry procedures. Staff are required to perform basic lab draws. Documentation is done using a telemetry-specific system. Shifts are scheduled every other weekend and involve 12-hour durations. Floating to other similar units or the emergency department may be required. Patient experience initiatives include bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding. The unit is newly established to provide 24/7 telemetry monitoring for patients. The unit encourages the use of advanced equipment and technologies.
