MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician MedAC to join our patient-focused team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and effective dispensation of medications and health solutions. The successful candidate will support both pharmacy operations and patient care activities, under the supervision of qualified pharmacists. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-first environment that prioritizes compassionate care and medical excellence. Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medication accurately. Manage medication supplies and inventory to ensure that they are kept within established guidelines. Regularly communicate with healthcare professionals to clarify medication orders. Participate in the processing of pharmaceutical aids and information for patients. Maintain pharmaceutical storage areas to ensure cleanliness and proper organization. Comply with all healthcare regulations related to pharmacy and patient care. Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency in managing pharmaceutical inventory Solid understanding of pharmacy law and medical ethics Skilled in using pharmacy information systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy as applicable BLS certification may be required by some facilities
