working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in
Fishersville, Virginia, 22939! Job Title: Registered Nurse

Must-Have: Previous charge experience, Patient ratio experience
1:5, Charting system experience preferred Description: Nurses on
this unit care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide
variety of medical problems. The patient population includes
cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and more. As
a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the coordination of
direct patient care and education. Daily census is approximately 29
patients. There are 28 rooms and 32 beds available on the unit.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory
services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social
services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Common patient diagnoses include hypo/hypertension, CHF, chest
pain, stroke pre/post care, COPD, PE, conduction blocks, acute and
chronic respiratory failure, end-stage renal failure, and AFIB.
Special procedures on the unit include insulin drips for DKA,
pre/post cardiac cauterizations, pacemakers, ablations, and
cardioversions. Skills required include feeding tube care and
management, accessing/managing ports, PCA, tracheostomy
care/management, wound care, telemetry, interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, central line
care, and blood product administration. Additional competencies
include managing cardiac drips and vasoactive drips, and knowledge
of isolation precautions and PPE. This position requires working
every other Saturday and being off every Sunday. Full compliance
with health policies is mandatory. Candidates must meet the
organization's vaccination requirements. Prior fit testing is
required, and candidates must adhere to grooming policies. This
role requires the ability to work holidays as scheduled based on
