Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist
to join our team of healthcare professionals in delivering
exceptional care and therapeutic services to our patients. As a
pivotal part of our integrated healthcare services, you will have
the opportunity to work both in facility-based settings and in
home-based environments, catering to the diverse needs of patients
across 42 states. This role involves assessing patient needs,
planning and implementing specific interventions, and evaluating
patient progress to aid in recovery and improve skills needed for
daily living and working. Evaluate patients' condition and needs to
develop an appropriate therapy treatment plan. Implement therapy
interventions tailored to each patient's needs and response to
treatment. Assess and record patients’ activities and progress for
client evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians
and other healthcare providers. Adapt treatment programs to improve
patient outcomes. Educate patients and families about self-care and
coping strategies. Consult with rehabilitation team to select
activity programs and coordinate occupational therapy with other
therapeutic activities. Strong understanding and application of
occupational therapy principles and practices. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle
physically demanding tasks. Adaptability to work in both facility
and home environments. Proficient in using healthcare software and

Must be currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the
state of practice. Certification through the National Board for
Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) CPR certified is
recommended.
