Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a Director of Nursing for Women and
Infants Services to lead our dedicated team in providing
exceptional care focused on enhancing patient outcomes and
optimizing maternal and infant health. This role is crucial in
overseeing the strategic planning, management, and delivery of
services in the obstetric and neonatal departments. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care,
embodying our mission to serve our community by improving health
and contributing to the well-being of families at every stage of
life. Strategically manage nursing operations within the Women and
Infants department to ensure quality and efficient patient care.
Develop and implement innovative policies and procedures that meet
healthcare regulations and improve service delivery. Coordinate
with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to formulate
short-term and long-term departmental goals. Manage budgeting,
staffing, and resource allocation effectively to maximize
departmental efficiency and patient satisfaction. Oversee
continuous training and education of nursing staff to ensure
compliance with current healthcare standards and practices. Monitor
and continually improve patient care, satisfaction, and safety
within the department. Liaise with other department heads to
integrate services and enhance overall patient care and hospital
function. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills In-depth knowledge of
hospital procedures and data-driven healthcare service management
Ability to manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
Proficiency in healthcare regulations and nursing best practices
