The Virginia Department of Health offers 12 paid holidays, medical,

supervisor of assigned environmental health services with formal
administrative, programmatic and performance management
responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals
and objectives. Minimum Qualifications • Knowledge of technical and
operational aspects of environmental health programs. • Experience
providing effective supervision and leadership of professional and
technical staff. • Experience evaluating programmatic needs
assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation
of service delivery. • Experience identifying complex problems and
reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and
implement solutions. • Strong communication skills, to include
communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs
of the audience and conveying verbal information clearly.
Additional Considerations • Experience in the administration of
public environmental health programs • Environmental Health
Specialist Senior certifications are preferred • Environmental
Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred Special
