Job Description:

Reporting to the CHRO, North America, this position is responsible for managing the regional HR governance model, including the intake, prioritization, project management, project reporting, change management, and distribution & communication mechanisms. Key activities include developing and executing program governance, tracking project level status and program status for executive review, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions, tracking actual vs plan and adjusting forecasts accordingly, managing data collection and reporting and, creating and executing overall program communications standards for projects.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Manages the project initialization and prioritization planning with key stakeholders for the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).Maintains the library of all regional and local policies and procedures.Develop and manages the governance model to approve new or modified policies and procedures.Ensures that policy and procedure documents cover the regulations impacting the policy, materials needed to manage the policy, audit mechanisms, vendors and cost utilization, services performed at the local, regional and global levels, roadmap for the policy, communication and distribution mechanisms, training cadence and owner.Develops and manages the program and services intake mechanisms between the regional and local leadership teams.In partnership with the program managers, develops and manages the key tenets for each program, or service, and the prioritization mechanisms.Maintains the overall regional HR roadmap cross functionally for the HR program managers and ensures dependencies between programs are managed and prioritized appropriately.Maintains the regional and local service delivery calendar and checklists.Develops and maintains weekly project management reporting cadence, artifacts and review documentation.Develops and maintains the monthly HR executive review document in partnership with the program managers.Develops and maintains the change management playbook.Develops and maintains the project management "gating" procedure, including the criteria to migrate a project between milestones, including: intake, fit-gap, development, implementation and warranty milestones.Liaises with other functional organizations (e.g., Finance, Operations) to support project reporting requirementsPresents critical information (business risk vs. reward) to support complex decision makingEstablishes and maintains a professional working relationship at multiple levels by understanding the stakeholder's business context and unique situation--Develops common tools and reporting templatesOther duties as may be requiredQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in related field--preferredWork Experience: At least 5, preferably 10, years' experience in progressively responsible program management roles.Experience working in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment highly desirable.Experience working with continuous improvement, quality management methods, practices and tools such as six sigma, lean and pursuit of quality related awards highly desirable.Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)SPHR preferredPMP certificateSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certificatesPosition requires experience and demonstrated competency in:Business acumenLabor relationsLeadershipInfluencingEffective relationship buildingBusiness partneringCross-functional collaborationProject managementNegotiationEstablishing metrics for HR compliance performanceAnalysisTime managementPrioritizing multiple projects/tasksCandidate must be action oriented, highly organized problem solver who enjoys challenges and working collaboratively.Must have strong computer and database application skillsLanguage / Communication Skills:Must have strong presentation skills; creating PowerPoints and presenting information --Excellent presentation, facilitation and written communication skills are essential for this roleJob DimensionsType of Employment: Full-timeTravel %: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.gategroup Competencies Required to be Successful in the Job:Thinking - Information Search and analysis & problem resolution skillsEngaging - Understanding others, Team Leadership and Developing PeopleInspiring - Influencing and building relationships, Motivating and Inspiring, Communicating effectivelyAchieving - Delivering business results under pressure, Championing Performance Improvement and Customer FocusDemonstrated Values to be Successful in the PositionEmployees at gategroup are expected to live our Values of Excellence, Integrity, Passion and Accountability.
