Responsibilities This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and is located at a secure facility in the Washington, D.C. metro area. NCI: -- The Technical Trainer will be part of a team responsible for developing applications and delivering key capabilities in support of mission-critical functions for defensive cyber operations (DCO) within the Department of Defense. Passionate about training technologies and solutions and understands the demands of releasing software in a DevSecOps environment using the practical methods outlined in the Scaled Agile Framework. Our customer within the Department of Defense is in a transition from building applications and infrastructure using Waterfall O&M processes to adaptive and responsive cloud-ready systems. This is a great opportunity to participate in development and training of dynamic, state-of-the-art software applications utilizing cutting-edge DevSecOps technologies. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. Highlights of Responsibilities -- * Develops, organizes and conducts moderately complex training and educational programs for customer personnel * Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers moderately complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives * Establishes and reviews course content and objectives * Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities * Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness * Updates course description documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance * May provide work leadership for lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training and presentations and programs * Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies * Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned * Participates in special projects as required * Maintains and updates monthly training and fiscal year status reports Qualifications Minimum Requirements: -- * MUST be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance. * 7-12 years of experience as a Technical Trainer. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related, equivalent experience. Preferred Experience: -- * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related, equivalent experience. * Experience working on software development contracts for the Federal government. * Experience with a wide variety of tools and techniques such as Activiti, JUnit, Gradle, Maven, Nexus, MuleSoft, Selenium, Drools, Sonar, Fortify, Cucumber. * Modern software engineering practices including BDD, continuous integration, continuous deployment, TDD, pair programming, unit testing, refactoring, emergent design, automated builds. * Database experience such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL. * DevOps experience, to include version control, automated builds, automated testing, and continuous integration with tools such as Red Hat OpenShift, Jenkins, Liquibase, Git. * Testing experience with Functional Testing, Security, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases. * Scrum Master Certification. -- Category: Training / eLearning Top Secret/SCI
