SQL Developer (SSIS/SSAS)
Seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer to support a Fortune 500 technology company offering high-end solutions in systems engineering and integration. Responsibilities
-- Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the staging to star schemas and reporting view's / tables and finally into SSAS. -- Develop and improve Microsoft Analysis Services cubes (tabular and dimensional) -- Will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of Analysis Services. -- Experience with multi-dimensional SSAS OLAP Cubes. Proficient in MDX and DAX.-- Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the staging to star schemas and reporting view's / tables and finally into SSAS. -- Create and Modify SSIS packages. Create an ETL design and implementation checks in SSIS packages.-- Create data load mappings, import/export methods, Incremental /Full load data from Source systems to various targets.-- Automate data extractions, loads and consolidations (when applicable) using batches or PowerShell scripts. Tune and optimize ETL batch jobs for performance and throughput.-- Should be able to analyze and optimize SQL queries and provide tuning recommendations to SSIS jobs, time/CPU consuming queries if situation arises.-- Design and develop ETL (MSBI) code for efficient and scalable data transformations in the Enterprise Data Warehouse-- Extend and maintain the EDW/Mart data layers - Type I, II, III SCD dimensions and facts.-- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data migration and transformation using MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.-- Conform to SSIS workflow and mapping standards so that development is done in a consistent manner across all development resources.Qualifications
-- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science-- Bachelor's degree-- Experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2016 including T-SQL/PL-SQL programming and scripting.-- 5+years' experience with MSBI and DW Modelling-- Experience in EDW design principles such as: requirements analysis, data mapping, transformations, SCD, Star Schema, snowflake schema and DW modelling. -- Knowledge on MS Power BI tool along with profound knowledge on query writing-- Strong systems skills especially in implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and documentation
