Job DescriptionSalary: $100,000 - 120,000/yearThe Systems
Administrator serves as the lead technician in the Information
Systems and Technology Department, overseeing servers, networking
appliances, storage area networks, cloud storage, cloud based back
up routines, virtual machines, operating systems licensures,
lifecycle planning and upgrades and end point imaging, encryption
and lifecycle planning. Under the direction of the Director of
Information Systems and Technology, the Systems Administrator
delivers on the IT Service Management programs of service within
the department and assures adherence to the Service Level
Agreements held with the broader organization. The Systems
Administrator assures secure, compliant and reliable operations of
all on premise servers, end point devices and networking appliances
to deliver a 24x7x365 continuity of safe, dependable, compliant and
productivity enhancing computing capacity for the
organization.Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer on-premise server infrastructure, maintaining an up
to date, compliant server position for mission critical functions
such as Active Directory, DNS, File Storage and Print Services
- Administer VMWare infrastructure, leading a larger project to
reposition the organization in a hybrid on-premise/cloud based
environment
- Work with the CFO, CIO and Director to allocate appropriate
budgets for upgrades of infrastructure, outsourcing of projects and
end point device life cycle planning
- Manage user identity and access controls for approximately 300
end users
- Administer appropriate file and application storage within a
hybrid on premise SAN:Azure Solution
- Insure appropriate back ups, participate in downtime recovery
drills and planning
- Support Analysts with ghosting, imaging, scripting and group
policy administration for remote deployment of end user devices
and/or software upgrades
- Partner with Security Operations Center to manage security
position of ports, firewalls and end user devices on request
- Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with equivalent
industry-specific certifications are required, specifically
Microsoft Certified Senior Systems Administrator, VCP (VMWare), or
similar certification
- Broad understanding of contemporary Windows operating systems,
licensure, deployment and maintenance across server farms and end
user devices for a mid-sized healthcare organization
- Demonstrated ability to create, test, document and deploy
procedures for server and system architecture, maintenance,
upgrades and life cycle planning
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
- Experience with multi-factor authentication, Azure AD and
single sign on
- Ability to provide support for multiple concurrent and
mission-critical systems migrations
- Minimum of 5 years of direct hands on experience with server
implementation, installation and upgrades and 10 years of
experience with deploying and managing end user devices
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal
