Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will act as a team lead in
the designing, producing, testing, or implementing software,
technology, or processes, as well as lead processes for creating
and maintaining IT architecture, large scale data stores, and
cloud-based systems.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Corporate Functions Technology - Software Engineering - Lead
Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your
own, while working alongside people who care so that you can
deliver on the following responsibilities:
Fannie Mae - Reston Virginia- Lead Associate - Software
Engineering
Data Steward establishing, maintaining, and communicating standards
for recording, searching, and reporting data kept in the
enterprise's databases and warehouses. Confer as needed with other
technical staff to plan database conversion projects, or to
establish large scale mining, reporting, or data display exercises.
Guide or provide technical assistance to database administration
projects or operations to maintain enterprise-wide standards and
attain more efficient use of data resources. Research, assess, and
report use of data standards and ways in which they can be modified
as needs change and corporate platforms develop.
Evaluate report requests to determine requestor's needs and
objectives, identify correct methodology for extracting data
including data sources and criteria, and ensure the delivered
report is accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately.
Review processes within unit that affect formatting, entry, quality
control and standardized uses of data to identify inefficiencies,
needs for training, or ways in which corporate or departmental
standards need to be better communicated.
Acquire from unit staff and from clients concerns about data
quality, form in which it is available, linkages to other datasets
and the like, and develop internal standards and procedures to
address these concerns.
Confer with database administrators, data warehouse management and
other department staff regarding data retention policies, current
system architecture and how it interacts with data management
issues and represent corporate standards and best practice.
Survey market and professional affiliations for current best
practice in data management and convey to colleagues and
client.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
Electrical/Electronics Engineering and five years' progressive
experience in architecting or designing Data warehouse/Database,
Modelling, building SQL objects such as Tables, Views, User
defined/ Table valued Functions, Stored Procedures, triggers, and
indexes. Experience must include 2 years' experience with
SharePoint BIC center to deploy SharePoint integrated/Native
reports/Dashboards and integrating them with the Report App
including but not limited to: MS BI Suite SSRS, SQL server
2008/2008R2, 2012, 2014, and Report Builder 3.0
This is a hybrid (work in office and at home) position.
