WorkSummaryResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AWS-native applications
leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM,
Kinesis, EC2, and Load-balancers.
- Develop high-performance backend services and APIs using Rust
and/or Go.
- Build responsive, user-centric web interfaces using React,
Angular, or Vue.js.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and
AWS CloudFormation as part of a DevSecOps pipeline.
- Create and maintain CI/CD workflows with tools like AWS
CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Gitlab Pipelines.
- Apply systems engineering practices to software development,
aligning with milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, ORR
when applicable.
- Ensure applications meet security, scalability, observability,
and cost-efficiency goals.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including
engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to deliver full-stack
solutions.
- Operate as a self-starter in an agile environment, actively
participating in scrums, independently tracking project progress,
and making methodical, logical technical decisions without the need
for close supervision.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and support
knowledge-sharing across the team.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cloud-native development with 2+
years of hands-on work in AWS.
- Strong programming skills in Rust and/or Go.
- Front-end development experience using modern frameworks such
as React.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-driven
patterns.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile development
practices.
- Must be U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a government issued
Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (e.g., Developer Associate, Solutions
Architect).
- Familiarity with the NASA Systems Engineering Handbook,
particularly with PDR, CDR, and lifecycle processes.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g.,
Docker, Kubernetes).
- Working knowledge of authentication and authorization
frameworks (e.g., Cognito, OAuth2).
- Experience with automated testing for both backend services and
UI components.
- UI/UX design awareness and commitment to usability and
accessibility standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and training skills.We invest in the
