Citizenship Required: Yes Job Description: Primary responsibilities
include providing engineering and administrative support
maintaining multiple large Enterprise environments. The supporting
infrastructure includes multiple Microsoft based networks spanning
multiple security enclaves within a hybrid (Windows & RHEL)
operating environment. Job Responsibilities & Duties: System
Engineering duties include management of both physical and VDI
based Linux workstations and servers Identify, design, and
implement solutions using FOSS, COTS or GOTS products to enhance
and meet customer requirements within the operating environment.
Troubleshoot user, workstation and application functionality,
performance, and incident resolution for Linux based applications
Identifies, analyzes, and resolve incidents with both short-term
workarounds and long-term solutions Provide remote end user support
and remotely work with and train geographically disperse Tier 2 and
Tier 3 team members Communicate effectively (in oral and written
form) with a variety of individuals and team members in both small
and large team environments Willingness to participate in special
projects as needed WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related
technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education,
technical training, or work/military experience. Required
Experience: 2 years of related Linux experience Certification:
Candidate must possess an appropriate and current DoD Information
Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment;
either valid CompTIA Security CE, Systems Security Certified
Practitioner (SSCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA)-Security. CompTIA Security CE Certification is the preferred
certification. In addition, candidate must attain the required DoD
8570 Computing Environment (CE) Training within six (6) months of
Hire Date. Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph is
required. Successful candidates are expected to have related
experience and knowledge/understanding of: Linux Operating systems
as a server or desktop such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9,
CentOS 7/8/9/Stream, Scientific Linux, Fedora, Oracle Linux, Rocky
Linux, Alma Linux, etc. Integration and experience with Kerberos
Authentication concepts and/or Microsoft Active Directory domain
joined servers and workstations is a plus (SSSD, WinBind, etc.)
Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP and LDAP in a Windows or Linux
environment Operating system deployment and Configuration
Management via Satellite and/or Ansible Automation Platform
Application Troubleshooting such as Firefox, Chrome, Java and/or
Citrix based virtual applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word
Understanding of SMB/CIFS and NFS file sharing protocols Linux
scripting (Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash) Understanding of ServiceNow,
NETS or other ticketing systems DoD STIG hardening ITIL v3 or
higher The following knowledge/skill set is not required but is a
plus: Gnome desktop environments Ability to create and deploy
Ansible roles and playbooks Github or Gitlab Anaconda Kickstart Red
Hat Satellite or Foreman/Katello CUPS print server RPM package
repositories Demonstrated ability to build an RPM package Windows
10, Server 2012/2016/2019 PowerShell Virtualization Environments
(VMware, Citrix) Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Profile management utilizing the VMware User Experience Management
(UEM) toolset Containerization (Docker, Podman) Microsoft Exchange
Telephone/Video support Networking Web Proxy Configuration (PAC
files, etc.) Dell/EMC Isilon and Netapp storage appliances
Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, SCOM, Zabbix or
Nagios Familiarity with site specific customer and mission

salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not,
however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will
be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly
contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
