SAIC is looking for a Senior ISSO to join our team to begin an
exciting and challenging career.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems,
including coordination with network engineers. Sets up
administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation,
tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and
allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates
vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and
software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related
to the use of computing resources. Primary liaison for mergers,
acquisitions, and divesture activities as it relates to user
access, network, security, and support. The Information
System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible to the Information
System Security Manager (SSM), information owner, and system owner
for ensuring a proper security posture is in place.
• Bachelors and (14) years or more experience; Masters and (12)
years or more experience ; PhD or JD and (10) years or more
• US Citizenship Required
• Demonstrable experience assisting with the drafting of
“Authorization to Operate” (ATO) packages for new and existing
• Provide subject matter expertise in all cyber security
initiatives and help in explaining new guidance.
• Draft documentation needed to announce new cyber security
initiatives and participate building and implementing processes
surrounding cyber security.
• If requested, provide cyber security reports, conduct scans
and participate in the process to obtain ATO status
• Ensure compliance with data security policies and relevant
legal and regulatory requirements and applicable Risk Management
Framework (RMF) requirements.
•Ensure appropriate changes and improvement actions are
implemented as required. Maintain current knowledge of
authenticator management for unclassified systems.
• Ensure compliance with protection requirements, control
procedures, incident management reporting, remote access
requirements, and system management for all systems under
• Law Enforcement experience a plus (but not required)
• Existing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty
(EOD) a plus, but not required
