Applied Research Associates, Inc. has an opportunity for a detailed oriented Target Planning Engineer with particular experience in reverse engineering to support a multi-disciplined team that develops methodologies, processes, and technological applications for detecting, locating, identifying, and physically and functionally characterizing underground facilities. The position will involve intensive use of target characterization and target planning products to support a team developing novel tools to characterize underground facilities.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Required Skills:Bachelors degree in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent degree. Demonstrated ability with various target planning softwares.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills.Ability to communicate highly technical analyses at a level comprehensible to laymen and senior-level government representatives.Ability to clearly express in writing technical analysis results and site characterizations.Clearance:Top Secret with SCIRequired Experience:8 years of experience in solving engineering problems.Practical experience gained thru use or development of target planning software.Expert knowledge and use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.DesiredQualifications:Masters degree in Engineering or Physics.Direct experience supporting reverse engineering, threat analysis and vulnerability assessments of WMD-related facilities, processes and infrastructure (to include underground facilities)Research and Development of new tools and methodologies to understand and reverse engineer processes and support systems at remote WMD-related facilities.Multi-spectral exploitation and analysis experienceHyper-spectral exploitation and analysis experience.Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning and functional defeat of hard targets and underground facilitiesWorking knowledge of engineering, 3D modeling and geospatial analytical tools to include AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp, Skyline Software, SOCET GXP, etc.COMPANY INFORMATION:Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
