If so, this is a great opportunity for you. Microsoft Federal Customer Success is looking for a Customer Engineer. In this role you will be working with customers and partners building, deploying, operating and optimizing large complex enterprise environments. You will also be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption and support of enterprise Microsoft deployments.

As a Customer Engineer (CE), you will work with Microsoft's enterprise customers to drive the effective use, adoption and management of Office 365, focusing on the Intelligent Communications (Microsoft Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams) workload.

Desired Experience:

Three (3) or moreyears of experience with Lync, Skype for Business and Teams or a competitive technology in a support or consulting role.

The planning, migration and operations of Office 365 in both Hybrid and Cloud-only configurations.

Deep experience with designing and deploying Microsoft Universal Communications products to include either Skype for Business or Lync and Exchange Unified Messaging (UM). Products include Skype for Business 2015, Lync 2013 and Lync 2010 or competitive technologies.

In-depth knowledge of supporting and complementary technologies, such as AD FS, Azure Active Directory Connect and PowerShell.

Competencies in (IM and Presence, Conferencing, Enterprise Voice, Video and Mobility) for the Skype for Business and Teams suite including the configuration, optimization, migration and integration of 3rd party products.

Comprehensive knowledge of VoIP and SIP protocols, keen troubleshooting ability and working knowledge of the latest diagnostic tools, log analysis and scripting ability.

Deep understanding of client/server, networking and Internet technologies fundamentals

Possess real passion for continuous learning, strong analytical skills, critical thinking, time management skills, and good judgement.

Ability to communicate Skype for Business and Lync product benefits and our unique service capabilities and offerings to IT and business leaders. Ability to gather and translate customer business requirements into a use case for Microsoft Skype for Business (or other products) and drive adoption.

Experience in customer-facing roles with demonstrated capability in clearly presenting thoughts and ideas confidently to audiences of various sizes and technical knowledge levels.

Solving problems at the experienced level in large network environments while working with multiple layers of customer engineering, network and administrative staff.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly.

Education:

Minimum bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.

The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Serving as a vital customer facing technical resource, you will be responsible for providing a mixture of tailored proactive services and reactive assistance that span the planning, migration and operations of Office 365; ultimately driving successful customer adoption and satisfaction.

We are seeking a CE who specializes in Office 365 Intelligent Communications (Microsoft Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams) who will partner with customer business decision makers and IT teams to understand their business requirements and address these using Microsoft technologies.

As a CE you will be a key technical resource for the customer, primarily focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments and providing tailored guidance. Troubleshooting skills are essential as this role will include working with Microsoft Premier Support to expedite incident resolution.

The role can include a mixture of short and long-term customer engagements.
