Associate Director, Assessment Delivery Operations The College Board, the national educational organization, is conducting a search for an Associate Director, Assessment Delivery Operations on the Operations team. This position can be based in our Reston, VA office, our New York City office, or via remote work arrangement. About the role The Associate Director, Assessment Delivery Operations will execute key business processes associated with the setup, test administration and operations delivery of College Board assessments. The Associate Director will be an integral part of the Assessment Operations Division, supporting a wide array of cross-functional activities with internal and vendor stakeholders to ensure a clean delivery of College Board assessments. The Associate Director can expect to coordinate and oversee operational activities associated with the day-to-day aspects of delivering a standardized test administration across thousands of schools and test centers throughout the year. The Associate Director is expected to develop a wide range of subject matter expertise on testing policies and procedures (pre-testing planning, test day administration, post-test procedures, and testing irregularities). A candidate will be responsible for ensuring test coordinators and proctors can successfully deliver a secure administration, to include promoting the following focus areas: process compliance, accurate testing instructions and training content, and customer support. Strong candidates must be poised under pressure with the ability to switch gears at a moments notice. Responsibilities of the role Create and manage cross-functional schedules to ensure implementation of key test delivery milestones across Operations business owners and Product Owners. Partner with cross-functional key stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Monitor key performance and clean delivery metrics; regularly provide status reporting to internal and external groups. Oversee activities related to assessment delivery incidents including containment activities and root cause analysis. Design and lead status meetings with stakeholders to ensure all tasks remain on track and risks are mitigated. Maintain and execute calendar of annual test delivery activities across all test administrations. Collaborate with Technology and Quality to ensure proper check and validations are in place. Determine system and vendor impacts when changes are proposed. Serve as SME for Coordinator and Proctor publications and training procedures. Travel to vendor locations as needed. Qualifications needed for the role Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience required. Experience in and/or knowledge of education assessment/testing. Experience implementing large projects and fostering teamwork across internal and external stakeholders with whom the candidate does not have a direct reporting relationship. Familiar with agile product management. Preferred skills and other attributes for the role Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy; adept at queries and presenting findings. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Very detailed-oriented. Persuasive, personable and accessible. Decisive within the framework of a collaborative change.
