Recruiting Associates, Inc. (www.recruitingassociates.net),
has been retained to find an Accounts Receivable Accountant to work
remotely. -This position may be based in the Reston, VA office
later this year.
The Accountant is responsible for providing direct support across a
variety of financial processes and tasks. This position will be
responsible for collecting and entering financial transactions,
utilizing accounting software, spreadsheets and databases and is
pivotal in supporting the accounting team. This position will also
and assist the A/R team with day-to-day A/R duties.
- Provide day-to-day support for
the controller in financial operations.
- Be an example for all in terms
of ethics and compliance. Assist the Controller in the
implementation of government contracting compliance and ethics
programs within the financial department.
- Accounts Receivable. Overall
responsible for company invoicing process. This includes keeping
accurate track of every invoice including timely status reports via
A/R tracking sheet.
- Follow up with customers for
invoice payment status via phone calls and emails. By tracking each
invoice, minimize the chance of delayed payment.
- Coordinate with sales
representatives to investigate and address any discrepancies
between invoice and actual payment amount.
- Protects operations by keeping
financial information confidential.
- Review and execution of all
company purchase orders.
- Assist in the development and
creation of periodic financial reports.
- Assist the controller during all
- Contributes to team effort by
accomplishing related results as needed.
- Take role in quarterly bank
- Ad-Hoc reporting required by
management or other companies.
- Participate in a

- Working level use of excel.
Specifically pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Working t level knowledge of
GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Working knowledge of FAR and
other laws and regulations for government contractors
- Well-versed in computer
applications for financial reporting and spreadsheets including
- Excellent communication skills
both oral and written
- 4+ years of accounting
- Bachelors degree in accounting,
finance, or economics preferred.
