The Manager, Creative Direction is responsible for overseeing
creative developed for digital platforms, including, but not
limited to, T-Mobile's social channels, T-Mobile-owned websites,
partner websites, T-Mobile digital advertising, and all
T-Mobile-affiliated apps. Projects may range from merchandising
efforts to marketing campaigns, social posts, and digital
micro-experiences. They work directly with designers and
copywriters, developing their skills as creative thinkers,
strategists, writers, designers, and stewards of the T-Mobile brand
voice. They also work with other creative leaders in T|Studios, as
well as Digital Business Managers, product and project managers,
Advertising managers, and other Marketing Leads to produce digital
content that delivers on T-Mobile initiatives and strategies, and
elevates T-Mobile as a leader in the creative space.
6-10 years of social, digital marketing, or merchandising
experience in an agency environment with a strong portfolio
2+ years managing creatives
Proven experience with creating successful A/B tests or
sequential advertising strategies, and the ability to optimize
creative performance based on data, results, and KPIs.
Excellent at prioritizing multiple assignments, including
communication of direction to creatives.
Strong attention to detail and timeliness.
Thrives in a collaborative, ever-changing, and fast-paced
Excellent presentation skills and confidence defending creative
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to
communicate complex ideas clearly while keeping calm under tight
A strong creative point of view with a passion for pursuing
Experience writing about consumer electronics and/or wireless
An understanding of the capabilities and constraints of web
technologies (HTML, style sheets, etc.)
Comfort working with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe XD
Experience working for or in a matrixed corporate
Experience with a DCO (Digital Creative Optimization) program to
develop creative variants for testing purposes.
Knowledge of SEO practices (Preferred)
MSFT Office (Expert Level, Required)
Opal or other Social Platform experience (Preferred)
Adobe Experience Mgr (Required)
Adobe Creative Cloud (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Creative Design, Copywriting, Digital
Experience Design )
Oversee multiple projects at the same time, ensuring that
creative aligns with project goals, business strategies, and
T-Mobile's digital brand standards.
Mentor, coach, and support designers and copywriters as they
refine creative and presentation skills, practice creative
thinking, and pursue career development goals.
Empower direct reports to lead meetings with key business
partners, defend creative decisions appropriately, and foster
successful relationships with cross-functional teams through
support and hands-on coaching.
Represent the T|Studios Digital team in cross-team meetings, and
present work to business partners, stakeholders, and creative
leadership during creative reviews.
Manage the creation and evolution of T-Mobile copywriting and
design resources and tools, such as style guides, onboarding
manuals, and templates, in addition to brand guidelines.
Day-to-day management of direct reports (contractors, full-time
employees, and interns) including employee development, contracts,
timesheets, PTO, HR issues, and more.
Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to
continuously evolve our process and resources.
