Job DescriptionSalary: BACKGROUNDThe Financial Services
Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), was created by
and for members and operates as a member-driven 501(c)(6),
not-for-profit entity. FS-ISAC serves as a bi-directional
information and intelligence organization leading the financial
services sector efforts to protect against and mitigate cyber and
physical threats and incidents against member financial firms.
POSITION SUMMARYCo-op position to support FS-ISAC's Global
Intelligence Office (GIO) with alerting and research. Co-op/Intern
will be working in tandem with analysts and Intelligence Officer
for an introduction into a cyber threat intelligence environment in
the financial services industry. Please note that this is an
internship position for current college students or recent
graduates. Longer-term interns welcome. Candidates who can commute
to Reston, VA are preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Triage and distribute operational and tactical data on
information provided by FS-ISAC Members in accordance with FS-ISAC
classification and handling protocols.
- Provide operational support during a cyber incident pertaining
to FS-ISAC members.
- Assist FS-ISAC's Intelligence Officers and Intelligence
Analysts with intelligence collection, validation, and distribution
- Support security discussions and presentations. POSITION
- Communication Skills – Has effective written communications
skills and be able to work effectively with other team
- Critical Thinking Skills – Is able to approach information and
data in an objective and rational manner, understand bias and
possible relationships of importance, and apply methods of
examination to construct a clear and informed judgement.
- Organizational Skills – Possesses strong time management skills
to work multiple processes at the same time and to a high degree of
quality. Should be able to prioritize the required work and
self-discipline on when to continue to a different task.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to quality-check their work and
handle databases. EDUCATION
- Knowledge of or any experience in cyber security technology,
concepts, monitoring (SIEM), Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), OSINT
threat research, or intelligence analysis – are highly relevant and

- Programming skills, including ability to script in Python, is
- Familiarity with advanced Excel functions, including creating
pivot tables and formulas, is desired.
- Previous education or work experience in information technology
is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is seated in Reston, VA
headquarters, with a hybrid office/work from home schedule. Intern
will be provided a FS-ISAC issued laptop for purposes to complete
their work, adhering to company policy specific to use of company
equipment. The candidate must be able to meet the physical demands
