Development Programs business unit, you willbe focusedon the
rapiddesignand implementationofnovel turbine and compressor
hardwareforin situ resource utilization and futurespaceflight
systems.Your domain expertise will be utilized for allaspects
ofdesigning,building, and testing turbine and compressorhardwarefor
use in reverse Brayton cyclecryocoolers and power systems.Inthis
position you willassume hardware ownership,utilize solid
modeling,conductdata analysisandcollaborativelyinterface with
product system leads, suppliers and customerstoproactively solve
challenges to ensure mission success.We are looking for someone to

- B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineeringor related
field
- 6+ years' experience ingasturbomachinery design, develop, and
testing
- Experience with cryogenic fluids, Brayton power and
refrigeration cycles
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green
Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or
granted asylum
- Blue Origin will consider for employment qualified applicants

- Master's or Ph.D.degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
or related field
- Experience with turbomachinery specific to gas compression and
expansion
- Familiarity with high speed dynamic gas bearings and
sealdesign, hardware fabricationand development
- Experience with cryogenic heat transfer
- Design and performance knowledge of recuperators
- Knowledge in the use of FEA analysis tools (ANSYS
preferred)
- Experience with high speed data acquisition and instrumentation
using accelerometers and proximity probes
- Ability to work independently on rapid development
programs
- Highly organized, safety and quality conscious, with excellent
technical written and verbal communication skillsThe expected
salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the
Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon
compensation is based upon individual qualifications and
experience. Estimated hourly wage (Colorado only): $132K-
