Illuminate seeks exceptionally qualified Senior Software Engineer in support of a ongoing government customer. This position ensures the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintaining awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents. -Illuminate supports the US national security community and its allies with a wide range of analytic and cyber effect solutions that accelerate informed decision made in the telephony, IP messaging, cyber, and multi-source arenas. Our customers require insight from the endless volume and variety of data to make critical, high integrity decisions at mission speed. We are an innovative solutions company striving to be a global leader in multi-source data collection, predictive analysis and mobile/network surveillance (4G/5G) and assurance, from the Edge of Collection to the Core of Exploitation, Tactical to Strategic, Endpoint to the Enterprise. -

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
  • Designs, implements, and integrates software applications or performs software engineering tasks; Utilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment
  • Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
  • Mitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projects
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.The candidate shall:
    • Perform tasks of senior level technicians
    • work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team
    • Oversee and monitor performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues
    • Provide expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers
    • Direct multiple contractor and subcontractors' teams through to project completion; maintain DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order
    • hold applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order
      • Clearance: Top Secret//SCI
      • Polygraph: current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
      • A Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of industry experience preferred; or a High School Diploma plus 8 years experience, an Associate's Degree plus 6 years experience, a Master's Degree plus 2 years experience, or a PHD.
      • IAT Level II (One of the Following)
        • CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
        • CSSP Infrastructure Support (One of the Following)
          • CEH, CySA+ **, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CNDPreferred Qualifications:
