As a leader in the mid-tier space, we have a culture that rewards innovation, encourages idea sharing, and believes in a team environment.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include supporting the Director of Business Development and Capture Management to identify viable opportunities, build out capture plans and lead opportunity marketing research, assist with proposal development plans, participate in the proposal process, and develop gate reviews. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for opportunity intelligence and analysis. Develop baseline and foundation for win strategy and technical approach. Assist with efforts of building a winning team to tell the overall win story. Assist with developing plans for marketing activities. Responsible for development of a win story that directly relates to the needs, issues, and challenges of the customer. Influence stakeholders and customers on win strategy.Produce capture efforts, including generation of qualified prospects within targetedaccounts and execute multiple projects and/or calling campaigns to includeoutbound cold calls for lead generationAssist with aspects of the capture/proposal process from opportunity identificationto contract start (e.g., qualification, capture, proposal, ENs, orals, FIPR, protests,etc.).Regularly and accurately update all internal system on all activities andopportunitiesAssist with developing gate review and capture plans to be presented to theexecutive team.Identify customer issues/pain points resulting from direct visits and analyticalresearch of open source documentation/media.Must be able to work well in a team environment with Technical and ManagementpersonnelIdentify avenues to shape RFP criteria to benefit EvolverWork with the Director of BD to formulate teaming strategy, structure, and selectteammates based on an analytical assessment of Evolver's strengths/weaknessesagainst customer issues, SOW/RFP requirements, and competition.Lead efforts to develop job descriptions for key personnel/management teampositions prior to RFP release that meet RFP requirements but exceed them in adiscriminatory manner.Liaison between the BD team and talent acquisition team for proposed effortpositions to identify, interview, and select proposed candidates.Based on market research and capture, assist with writing a compelling, concise,and graphically communicative Executive Summary, even if not directly requiredby the RFP, that makes the customer want to pick us from an analytical and/oremotional basis. This may require many iterations and adjustments as the effortevolves and matures over the capture/proposal process/timeline.Actively listen to color team debriefs to assist the BD and proposal team to makenecessary adjustments to the capture plan, offer design, and/or the proposal.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary to optimize pWin. Minimum Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited university or college with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or 4+ years relevant professional experience withouthigher level educationMinimum 2 years' experience with demonstrated success supporting businessdevelopment and/or capture of contracts, this can be from a program or projectmanagement role.Minimum 2 years' experience supporting federal contracts which has providedthe knowledge to understand of how federal contracts are released and awardedfrom a proposal perspective and/or how they are managed from an operationsperspective.Desire to support the team and company to successfully "grow the business".Preferred Federal Civilian information technology (IT) experience or strong technical aptitude with the ability to grasp information technology quickly.Skill in business writing - both technical and non.Familiarity and experience managing and utilizing CRM tools.Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace.Working knowledge and experience with cyber, infrastructure, and help desk support acquisitions.Desired experience with developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities. Desired experience in one or more of the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, program management, opportunity identification and qualification in the federal civilian market.
