Cloud Systems Engineer, SrJob Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US--- *--- What You Will Get To Do: We require a highly-skilled Cloud System Engineer to support the architecture, engineering and deployment of a multi-cloud client infrastructureYou will bring significant comfort and experience with infrastructure-as-code deployment, to include Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, or like technologiesYou will use your system engineering skills to ensure internal networks and systems are supported, maintained and enhancedThe person who steps into this role will apply sound engineering practices, solid judgement and savvy technical acumen to achieve both short and long terms goals as established by the SponsorYou will be part of a senior contractor panel responsible for the design, engineering and implementation of the client's networksYou will work with the engineering team to identify needs related to client requirements; implement appropriate cloud-based solutions and integrate those solutions into the existing infrastructureYou will build and deploy infrastructure using Automation such as Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Linux scripting, Python, PowerShell and or like technologiesYou will develop templates or scripts to automate deployment and capabilities to facilitate deployment, monitoring and O&M activitiesYou will manage the cloud environments along with the team in accordance with commercially accepted best-practices to include security controlsYou will use both oral and written communication skills including providing design, SOP and security documentation; technical documentation and briefing materials to support presentationsBe part of a department with an expanding range of programs focusing on Cyber Operations, where you get to grow on and between programs with peers who are dedicated to advancing national securityParticipate in fun team outings and team building events where you get to engage with your co-workers and expand your career networkWe are a fun, engaging environment with a management team focused on growing your career and making you a part of our futureWe offer bonus compensation plans that demonstrate you being appreciated for working on the program and being a part of our teamYou'll get paid for cyber events and training, such as our Capture the Flag Events, Internal Research and Development opportunities as well as prepaid courses to nationally recognized certification courses to grow your careerYou'll Bring These Qualifications:--- Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect or relevant Cloud Certifications from vendors such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
* 15+ years' experience in the cyber, networking, infrastructure arena
* 5+ years' experience in a Cloud Engineering role
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, IBM or Oracle Cloud
* Experience with Ansible, Terraform and like technologies
* Experience in automating installation, monitoring, and executing tasks in Linux scripting or Python
* Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks, to include software defined networking via cloud providers
* Extensive experience with open-source technologies and system engineering and architecture
* Ability to research, identify, and test technology products
* Must have strong initiative - be able to design and communicate solutions from stated high level objectives
* Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across organizational boundaries and with various levels of customers and peers
* Must be flexible - must be able to work on a team and within a team
* Must be detail orientated, organized, be able to multi-task and be adaptable to shifting requirements
* Must be able to work independently on tasking, deadlines and collaborate with end-users and management--- Must possess a TS SCI with required polygraph clearance--- Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering or related technical degree; or extensive experience in related field These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:--- Systems administration and IT certification in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
* AWS Certified Security Specialty, or similar
* VMWare Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
* Experience using VMWare and other virtualization technologies
