Anti-Terrorism Assistance Subject Matter Expert (OCONUS) with Security Clearance

Sallyport Global is seeking Anti-terrorism Assistance Subject Matter Expert(s)--to--perform a wide range of advanced technical assistance, sensitive but unclassified special programs, consultations and assessments as required of the--US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Training Directorate, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA)--Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA) training.----This is a contingent position based on contract award and funding from the customer. OCONUS travel is expected as a significant requirement for this position--with possible frequent changes worldwide.----Operations and training is conducted at any location overseas or domestic including remote training sites in medium to high threat and austere environments below Western standards. ATA assists foreign partners to develop the capability for antiterrorism planning and coordination and commitment to support US counterterrorism objectives.-- DS/T/ATA fosters cooperative efforts between U.S. law enforcement agencies and those of foreign partners to prevent future terrorist attacks and manage their consequences.-- DS/T/ATA provides training, assistance and equipment to increase foreign partners' capabilities to prevent, interdict, and investigate acts of terrorism.-- DS/T/ATA also advances U.S. foreign policy goals by strengthening bilateral relationships and increasing respect for human rights by sharing modern, humane, and effective antiterrorism techniques.-- The program's geographic reach is extensive, having trained over 67,000 foreign police and civilian government officials in over 152 countries since inception in 1983.-- Country assistance plans are implemented through advanced training, technical assistance, and equipment grants including computers and software.-- Capacity building projects are tailored to the needs of each Partner Nation. SMEs shall be qualified at the highest level to understand, anticipate and respond to needs of foreign law enforcement and civilian security officers.-- SMEs are engaged for domestic special programs and senior executive forums as well as for overseas consultations and assessments.-- As directed, SMEs will collaborate with DS/T/ATA in the development of specialized technical assistance or customized programs. JOB REQUIREMENTS Senior SMEs conduct highly specialized consultations and special programs including small seminars on national policy for responding to terrorist incidents, critical infrastructure and information security, information analysis and sharing, regional strategic initiatives and security cooperation, and other advanced areas of law enforcement and antiterrorism.--DS/T/ATA contributes substantial involvement and may organize interagency input to support a full spectrum approach to most projects tasked through--Sallyport Global to SMEs. * SMEs--must have had experience at--the highest level of integrity, respect, and cross-cultural sensitivity (Professional conduct is required at all times). * Must have the ability to communicate across cultures in order to develop and present technical information to foreign audiences in order to improve their understanding of law enforcement strategies, policies, and operations of the U.S. Government and its partners.---- * SMEs--must--present a neat appearance at all times, paying particular attention to their personal hygiene, bearing, clothing and equipment,--small post-type earrings on ear lobes are acceptable, however other earrings or visible body piercing are prohibited.-- All tattoos must be covered while performing instructional duties and during DS/T/ATA-sponsored professional or cultural exchange. * Individual selected must possess--the experience and qualifications required for performance described; * Must be prepared to attend or have recent receipt of training in the Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) Training Program, if required; * Must possess an active DOS or DoD--Secret security clearance--as required by the position and--maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract; * Language Skills: Strong English communication skills, both oral and written; * Citizenship: US Citizenship is required for this position; * Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination; * Relevant overseas experience. Experience working with DOS; * Bachelor's Degree or substantial, SME demonstrated expertise in--anti-terrorism,--international training, or civilian security training programs;-- * A minimum of five years' experience involving training services for foreign law enforcement or other non-U.S. personnel;---- * Valid U.S. Passport.
