Our client, a leading firm in the engineering industry, is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join their team. As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will be part of the Electrical Design Department supporting engineering and construction teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Senior Electrical Designer Location: Reston VA 20190 (Onsite) Pay: Competitive Pay + Benefits Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update raceway design, equipment location, and layout.
  • Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with design and scope, including lighting, communications, grounding layout, and lightning protection systems.
    • Perform cable pull calculations and design of electrical systems using AGi32.
      • Interface with construction teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with installation codes, regulations, and standards.
        • Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software and an electronic Cable Management System, such as SETROUTE. Requirements
          • AA/AS degree with 11 years of related electrical design experience or a high school diploma with 15 years of related design experience.
            • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain security clearance.
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 2D/3D CAD software.
                • Extensive knowledge of NEC code, ANSI/IEEE Standards, and electrical raceway/equipment layouts.
                  • Prior experience in nuclear plant design and working with quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000. What's in it for me?
