About_This_Position Title: Public Sector ISR Location: Reston, VA Responsibilities * Conduct research on prospect companies and source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up calls and emails to drive new incremental opportunities and pipeline * Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure * Achieve monthly and quarterly target metrics * Maintain and expand your database of prospects and customers within your assigned territory * Responsible for expanding Install Bases investment in Riverbed * Work closely with Channel Partners to identify and close deals * Responsible for closing ISR/Partner driven deals with little assistance from the field team * Manage inbound leads and outbound cold calling to a defined se target prospect accounts * Assess and qualify leads received from various sources effectively and make solution recommendations by matching business requirements to award winning solutions * Contact prospects and partners through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, and seminars to communicate opportunities to extend initiatives with the Company * Ensure prospect handoff to sales, business development, and support are successful, and exceed customer s satisfaction * Create and provide reports and ensure frequent communication on prospect accounts * Effectively articulate the value of hardware and software to both technical and non-technical buyers * Manage and document the details of the sales cycle in * Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager s discretion. Requirements * Minimum 2-5 years experience in a Sales role within Telecommunications, Networking or Software/Hardware industry * Application Management or related IT specific software/hardware sales experience is a plus * Experience with prospecting and growing an ecosystem * Experience working with Channel Partners preferred * Experience using or similar tool required * Bachelor s Degree in a technical or business discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Completed courses in strategic sales training preferred * Understanding of the sales process techniques and strategies * Ability to turn a technical sales prospect into ROI business analysis * Ability to make dozens of calls per day * Excellent verbal and communication skills * Ability to build rapport with and sell to senior management and C-Level executives. * Work collaboratively within a team environment. * Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative. * Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude while managing a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities * Strong organization and presentation skills * Strong business acumen * Excellent time management skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook About_Riverbed Riverbed offers a rewarding experience of working with the best minds in the industry, delivering exceptional network performance and visibility for any application.
