With the growth in alternative lodging choices and on-line distribution channels, and technology advances in real time booking, the serviced apartment industry is experiencing unprecedented growth and innovation. Bridgestreet has been at the forefront of this innovation with its recently launched technology platform that makes it easier for clients to access serviced apartments and for serviced apartment operators to distribute their inventory.

Job Summary:

The National Sales Manager will oversee business development activities within the specific geographical target area as assigned. It is a remote position that will report to the home office in Reston, VA. They will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy aligned with current national sales initiatives based on current and future growth plans. The National Sales Manager will also identify key contacts within targeted named accounts, solicit new business, identify and facilitate the RFP process, and secure new business by using the techniques and guidelines set forth in the BridgeStreet national sales process. They are also responsible for identifying prospective clients, developing those prospects into actual clients, and then deepening these client relations at the highest levels. By working under direct supervision from the Director of Sales and in conjunction with local and regional sales and operations teams, they will act as a sales leader to provide revenue growth for the company.

Essential Functions:

* Achieve target percentage of new revenue growth year over year within the National business segment.

* Work within a budget to generate business in core markets and dedicated verticals in order to meet sales quotas and incentive goals

* Identify key decision makers for extended-stay travel, relocation, and group projects

* Generate leads through cold calling on the telephone, person-to-person meetings and networking with prospective and actual clients, follow up on leads received through referrals, cross-selling, and inquiries

* Work with prospective and current clients to sell vertically within each industry and business segment to identify additional business opportunities within their companies

* Network and participate in local professional organizations within key industries specific to the assigned region and verticals.

* Tour prospective key decision makers through apartment communities as necessary

* Coordinate and assist in general sales activities, including trade shows, advertising, public relations and others as directed

* Develop monthly and quarterly account plans and action steps for Top 25 accounts Review monthly sales goals, revenue numbers and work with the Director of Sales to achieve the established target

* Maintain up-to-date documentation in sales system/CRM

* Responsible for all client meeting initiatives

* Lead National sales initiatives for their named accounts

* Develop annual sales plans and reviews, including implementing strategies within the US and offshore

* Participate in apartment pricing issues and decisions

* Develop strong personal relationships with National customers, maintaining those relationships through weekly contact.

* Contact National target customers, make initial contact and secure RFPs Collaborate with Director of Sales to design and present custom presentations and reports tailored to target companies

* Communicate trends on intelligence and formulate marketing strategies based on that analysis

Required Education and Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of sales/marketing experience and/or sales management of a product or service with a solutions based selling approach.

* Previous experience selling to the C-Suite in fortune 500/1000 companies is a must.

* Proven record of successful new business development history ( hunter ) across multiple market segments, preferably in the hospitality, finance, insurance, relocation, consulting, energy or telecommunications.

* Experience contacting upper management level clients through phone and in-person sales presentations

* Proven experience consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals through strategic planning

* Proven experience selling contracted services and managing major accounts and national business.

* Ability to utilize a customer-focused approach to problem solving and resolution skills.

* Experience in a solution based sales approach to a longer sales cycle.

* Current knowledge of travel and or relocation industry, current market trends and economic factors

* Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations (preferably in PowerPoint)

* Ability to learn, understand and accurately input information using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, CRM (Landslide) and task manager systems

* Able to communicate professionally and effectively in English, using both verbal and written language

* Able to use Sales Automation Software for tracking sales and account activity

* Strong innovation and experimentation skills.

* Selling vertical markets

* Confidence, enthusiasm and a strong dedication to the job and company

* Ability to travel and attend industry related trade shows or client events as needed according to the budgets provided

Preferred Education and Experience:

* Bachelor s degree is highly preferred.

* Corporate housing, hotel, relocation or other service related industry experience preferred.

* Formal negotiation or presentation training is ideal

* Familiarity with organizations such as ERC and SHRM is a plus.
